Disc Instructions

Before first use

Welcome to your new way of period care. The Feminea Disc is designed to give you freedom, comfort, and leak-free protection — no matter your flow. Before your first use, follow these simple steps to get started.

Your disc doesn’t come pre-sterilized. Before first use and between cycles, boil it for 4–5 minutes (no more than 7). Use tongs or a whisk to make sure it doesn’t touch the bottom of the pot.

Wash your hands with warm water and a gentle, fragrance-free soap. Rinse well to ensure no residue is left before handling your Feminea Disc.

How to use your Disc

Crafted from ultra-soft, medical-grade silicone, our disc is designed to curve naturally with your body for a barely-there feel and secure fit. The flexible ring and built-in finger holes make insertion and removal surprisingly simple—so you can focus on your day, not your period.

STEP 1

Pinch

With clean hands, press the sides of the disc rim together to form an “8” shape. Make sure the removal notch stays at one end — that’s your guide for later.

STEP 2

Insert

With your disc folded, gently insert it while sitting, squatting, or with one leg raised. Angle it toward your tailbone and slide it in until fully inside the vaginal canal. Then push the front rim up so it tucks just behind your pubic bone.

STEP 3

Position & Secure

Once the disc is fully inserted, gently tuck the front rim behind your pubic bone — this will allow it to open and create a natural seal. The disc should rest just below your cervix at a slight diagonal. If it feels out of place or uncomfortable, remove and try again until it sits securely and comfortably. You’re all set — enjoy up to 12 hours of leak-free protection.

Removing & Reinserting

Wash your hands with warm water and mild soap.
Find a comfortable position. Insert one finger behind your pubic bone and locate the rim of the disc.
Hook your finger into the removal notch or grip the rim gently (avoid pulling the thin basin).
Slowly pull out the disc at a horizontal angle, keeping it upright to prevent spills.
Once removed, empty it into the toilet or sink.

Rinse the disc in cold water first to help prevent staining.
Then wash with warm water and a pH-balanced, fragrance-free cleanser.
Rinse thoroughly and let it air dry before reinserting.

Once clean and dry, your disc is ready to go again.
Follow the same steps outlined in the “Insert” section above.
With practice, insertion and removal will feel easier and more intuitive.

Cleaning & Maintenance

WASH

Rinse your disc in cold water after use to help prevent staining.

Wash thoroughly with warm water and a mild, pH-balanced cleanser after each use.

Avoid strong soaps, antibacterial products, or anything that could irritate your skin.

SANITIZE

Between cycles, sanitize your disc by boiling it in water for 4–5 minutes (no more than 7).

Make sure it doesn’t touch the bottom of the pot — you can use tongs or a whisk to keep it suspended.

You can also sanitize with 70% isopropyl alcohol: rinse, wipe all surfaces, and let it air dry fully.

STORE

Once completely dry, store your disc in the breathable pouch provided — never in a plastic or airtight container.

Discoloration over time is normal.

If your disc shows any signs of damage or deterioration, it’s time to replace it.
